Common Home Remedies For Facial Warts

Although they are painless and they typically disappear on their own after a few weeks, facial warts can be very embarrassing to have. More often than not it is difficult to hide them, and no one wants to be stared at just because there is a spread of warts on one’s face. People would rather get rid of their warts as soon as possible rather than wait for them to go away.

However, getting professional treatment for warts can be quite expensive, not to mention painful and scarring. Over-the-counter treatments like aerosol freezing sprays and salicylic acid, on the other hand, do not work all the time. If you find yourself in a situation where you cannot afford to pay a doctor to remove your warts and you have no faith in over-the-counter treatments, you do not have to worry. You can lay your hopes on some common home remedies for warts on the face.

Some of these common home remedies for wart removal are:

1. Duct tape. If you do not mind being seen with bits of duct tape sticking on your face, you can give this remedy a try. Apply the duct tape on the affected area and keep it there for a week. Once you peel the tape off, press a warm towel against your face and then scrub the wart with a clean nail file or pumice stone until it comes off.

2. Apple cider vinegar ACV. In case duct tape is out of the question, you can try swabbing the wart with a little apple cider vinegar. The acid in the vinegar is meant to burn your wart. You can do this every day and cover the wart with medical tape overnight. After a month, the wart will turn black and will just peel off by itself. A little ACV goes a long way, though, and you should always remember to apply the ACV only on your wart.

3. Tea tree oil. Applying a very small drop of tea tree oil on your wart can also help in burning your wart away. Tea tree oil has antiseptic qualities that can assist in dealing with viral infections. Keep in mind, though, that you only need a little tea tree oil.

Facial warts are embarrassing to have. There are a lot of home remedies that you can turn to in order to get rid of them. But if you cannot rid of them using home remedies, you should go and seek medical help before your warts become worse.
